Drone permit for green zones – non-commercial use

Due to system maintenance, drone permits will not be able to be purchased on Sunday 29th March 2026 between 12:00 am and 4:00 am NZDT.

Get a permit to fly drones up to 25 kg in green-zoned public conservation land for recreation or research.
Permits are issued immediately and are valid for one year.

The fee for this permit is NZ$207 (non-refundable, includes GST). You must sign into an account and pay online by card.
